Your self-delusional sock-puppet in the Senate, Schumer, is quoted as saying he wants MORE of your idiocy of this type. That is, he apparently wants MORE episodes of countries around the world contempusously dismissing your far-too-public overtures where you hang our allies out to dry in your Chamberlin-like, "peace in our time" stupidity.
The very idea that there was EVER any chance that Russia would muscle Iran because we asked them, pretty please, to do that shows that your empty suit has, if anything, only been filled with a cricket chirping as you have continued to make our foreign policy into the laughing stock of the entire planet.
Mr. President, here's your sign: The world does not wish us well. They didn't wish us well when Mr. Bush was President, and the fact that he no longer has the job does not, in any way, magically mean that the rest of the world has been taken in by the scam you are; and suddenly, magically, everyone will deal with us only through the filter of virtuosity and the purest form of altruism.
Russia is not, attitudinally, that much different than the old Soviet Union. That somehow you've arrived at the point where you actually believe you can make a deal with them, and that they'll keep it, while simultaneously keeping them from engaging in their old-style Imperialistic designs, is proof of either your self-delusion or your ignorance.
Your thoughtless, amateurish efforts that could again result in the de facto enslavement of millions is yet a continuing sign that then Senator Joe Biden was absolutely right when he said that you were not ready to be President.
Mr. President, let me leave you with this reminder: Play time is over. There is no reset button; this isn't a Nintendo or XBox. There is no do-over, and people's lives... if not OUR lives, depend on what you do.
Unfortunately for us, your clueless handling of this episode has set us back years; will rightfully cause our allies to distrust you, and cause us major damage down the road.
Give me McCain any day, and twice on Sunday.
Russia rejects link between missile defence and Iran - Update | |||||||||||
|
Madrid/Washington - Russian President Dmitri Medvedev on Tuesday showed willingness to discuss the US-planned missile defence system opposed by Moscow, but without "haggling" linking it to Iran. Medvedev was commenting during a visit to Spain on an alleged offer by US President Barack Obama to halt the defence system if Iran could be convinced to give up nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. The New York Times earlier reported that Obama had sent a secret letter to Medvedev. Speaking at a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in Madrid, Medvedev welcomed the "positive signals" coming from the Obama administration with which he hoped to reach "agreements." "Haggling," however, was not "productive," Medvedev said. If the Obama administration showed "common sense" in proposing a "common shield against all types of threats" and reconsidered its plans of a missile defence system which could target Russia, Moscow would be prepared to negotiate, Medvedev said. The New York Times reported earlier on its website that Obama last month offered a halt to the US-planned missile defence system opposed by Moscow if Iran could be convinced to relinquish nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. Citing US officials speaking on condition of anonymity, the Times reported that Obama sent a secret letter three weeks ago to Medvedev. |
