Dear President Obama: Here's why the military loaths you (II) You and Shinseki are selling us out-vets to pay for treatment.

Of your many boneheaded, idiotic, moronic, empty-suited moves, this one HAS to be the topper.

You, Sir, are an ignorant son of a bitch. Seriously. And that General Shinseki would join with you in your efforts to sell us out... makes you BOTH two of the most loathsome, slimy creatures it has ever been my disgust to ponder.

What, might the reader ask, has me ready to blow my cork?

Well, believe it or not, the Moron in Chief wants us to pay for our own injuries suffered on active duty.

I.... words.... there are no adequate words I can possibly summon to express my utter disgust.

My son will be 18 in 7 months. When I was his age, I was on the East German Border with a rifle in my hands. I was an 11D (Now a 19D) "Armored Reconnaissance Scout" (Now Cav Scout... because, after all, who the hell can possibly spell "reconnaissance?")

He wants to be a Marine. Badly. A moment ago, I interrupted this, called him in and showed this information to him and I told him:

"Don't... fucking... do it."

"Don't. This is the man you'd be carrying a rifle for. And he will sell you out in a minute. Don't.... fucking... do it. There are many ways to risk your life for your country... but not THIS way.... not when this evil son of a bitch and his lackeys would even CONSIDER doing something like this."

Years in the military. An extensive database of cuss words and insults... and NOTHING in the rolodex adequately covers this disgrace.

Mr. President, WHAT INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD POSSIBLY INSURE SOMEONE GOING TO A COMBAT ZONE? Is it any wonder that our military hates you?

Blackfive, once again, get's the nod for the H/T.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance, but was told by lawmakers that it would be "dead on arrival" if sent to Congress.

Washington Sen. Patty Murray used that blunt terminology, telling Shinseki that the idea would not be acceptable and would be rejected if formally proposed. She made the remarks during a Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs hearing about the 2010 budget.

No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly, but veterans groups wrote a pre-emptive letter last week to President Obama opposing the idea after hearing the plan was under consideration. The groups also noticed an increase in “third-party collections” estimated in the 2010 budget proposal—something they said could only be achieved if the VA started billing for service-related injuries.

Asked about the proposal, Shinseki said it was under "consideration."

"A final decision hasn't been made yet," he said.

A second senator, North Carolina Republican Richard Burr, said he agreed that the idea should not go forward.

"I think you will give that up" as a revenue stream, if it is included in this April's budget, Burr said.

  1. Little amazes me anymore regarding the Obama presidency and his monumental incompetence. Even now the North Koreans, a dictatorial farce of a nation, stares down the One and threatens WAR if Obama acts.
Didn't we wipe these jokers off the map almost sixty years ago? Didn't Clinton buy their love and they promised to be good?
They are on the brink of declaring WAR if Obama acts, and he should, but probably lacks the cojones to stand up. What will this tell Iran, Libya, Russia, Venezuela...oh, too late. They already know what kind of president Barry Obama is.
    One of their own.
A just as big of a fool.

  2. If it wasn't so painful... it would be funny. But it's a nightmare now... and it had better get better soon.
